When your child is admitted into a secure hospital setting or Assessment and Treatment Unit, it is often done quickly, with little notice.

As a parent/carer, you are often sat wondering which way is up.  Thinking about the questions you should be asking is often one job you just cannot get your head around.

When your child is admitted to an ATUWe asked parents, with lived experience of having a child admitted into an ATU, what would have helped them.

Together they came up with a large list and we have put them all in one place as a downloadable document for you to use.
